Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this well respected and growing HR consultancy based in Swindon to recruit an experienced, proactive and commercially orientated externally focused HR Consultant on a permanent basis. The role is site based in Swindon (with parking) with some travel to London to suit client requirements.
Working as a trusted Advisor / Consultant to a varied portfolio of clients, you will be assisting clients on site with a wide range of activities including recruitment / on-boarding, employee relations issues, redundancy programmes, settlement agreements and TUPE matters as well as undertaking client project work as required.
What you’ll be doing / key activities:
HR Service Delivery:
1. Assisting clients on site with a range of activities including redundancy programmes, employee relations issues and TUPE matters
2. Supporting the HR advice line service, ensuring accurate, timely and commercial advice support for clients
3. Providing advice to clients on all aspects of HR, particularly employee relations matters, over the telephone and via email
4. Chairing or supporting formal meetings on behalf of clients
5. Delivering HR training to clients
6. Creating, updating and checking client policies, procedures and handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice
7. Updating the monthly billing spreadsheet to ensure the timely invoicing of additional work undertaken for clients
8. Compliance with company governance procedures
9. Other duties as per client and requirements
10. Recruitment support for clients, liaising with the Recruitment Specialist where necessary
11. Drafting detailed reports for clients
12. Providing additional day support to clients
13. Creating and issuing documents that support the specialist advice provided to clients
Business Relations and Development:
14. Arranging and attending regular review meetings with clients
15. Identifying new business opportunities with existing clients (such as recruitment, additional project or site work, pulse, and staff surveys)
16. Attending new client meetings and supporting the new client onboarding process
Additional:
17. Providing mentoring support to Trainees / HR Advisors
18. Conducting regular updates on WIP with the Managing Directors
19. Ensuring advice provided to Clients is legally compliant and to internal standards
20. Being a point of contact for questions from the team
What we’re looking for / about you:
21. CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
22. Supervision experience
23. Excellent and up to date UK employment law knowledge
24. Experience in managing a range of complex ER casework incorporating settlement agreements
25. TUPE experience
26. Experience in leading formal processes, including grievances, disciplinaries and appeals
27. HR experience over various business sectors is desirable
28. Commercially aware of the needs of small businesses
29. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
30. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
31. Ability to organise own workload to meet targets and deadlines
32. Good MS Office skills – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
33. Happy to travel to client sites (London) on occasion / when and where applicable
