We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
Duties
* Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
* Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with other departments to create seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols.
* Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating guest feedback into offerings.
Skills
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Excellent cooking skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance in the kitchen.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* A passion for culinary arts and creativity in dish presentation.
