Overview
This micro internship is a 30‑hour commitment, including 4 hours of training. It is designed for students who have limited professional work experience and wish to develop employability skills. Applicants must be members of GROW Your Future – an opt‑in scheme for UK undergraduates and postgraduate students who meet specific widening participation criteria, such as being the first in their family to attend university. Priority will be given to those who meet these criteria and who may have already completed a GYF micro internship.
Eligibility
Only individuals living in the UK are eligible. The role is open to students registered with GROW Your Future and who meet the above criteria.
Responsibilities
* Update and edit existing career resources and guides using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud to ensure relevance, correct spelling and grammar, appropriate tone, and compliance with accessibility guidelines.
* Conduct research into employer careers websites, postgraduate course pages, and social media to keep content current with the latest graduate recruitment processes.
* Suggest new guide topics or enhancements to the existing portfolio.
* Present changes and developments to the wider Careers Team.
* Ensure all edited content meets accessibility standards.
* Submit a cover letter with the application; applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
Skills & Qualifications
* Member of GROW Your Future (preferred).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Teamwork and collaboration experience.
* Experience using Microsoft Office suite.
* Attention to detail and excellent time‑management.
* Presentation skills.
* Knowledge of accessibility guidelines is advantageous.

Note: Under the terms of this work, we endeavour to provide the advertised number of hours; however, hours are not guaranteed and work may cease if demand falls. The start and end dates are flexible and will be discussed with the successful student. The role offers up to 30 hours, including 4 hours of training.
