This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cable jointer looking for a more stable, local role with no weekend work and a real work-life balance.If youve built your career in electricity distribution or transmission and are ready for the next step, full training and qualifications will be provided to support your transition into instruction and assessment.
As Cable Jointing Instructor youll play a key role in delivering and developing high-quality training programmes within the power sector. Working with both new entrants and experienced operatives, youll pass on your technical knowledge across LV and 11kV cable jointing, while supporting industry qualifications and compliance training.Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, hands-on training in cable jointing and electrical distributionSupport the design and development of industry-leading training programmesAssess learners against national occupational standards and qualification frameworksProvide coaching, feedback and support throughout the learner journeyEnsure all training meets current health & safety legislation and industry standardsWork closely with internal teams and external clients to meet training needsMaintain training equipment and ensure a high-quality learning environmentWe are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:Minimum 5 years experience in electricity distribution/transmission cable jointingCity & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant disciplineLV Jointing authorisation (current or previously held)Strong communication and organisational skillsFull UK driving licenceWillingness to work towards an assessor qualification (fully supported)Desirable Experience (But Not Essential) Experience with 11kV / HV jointingAssessing or training experienceTeaching or assessor qualifications (e.g. A1, D32/33, PTLLS)Health & safety certifications (IOSH, NEBOSH)Salary & Benefits£50,000 salary33 days annual leave (including bank holidays + Christmas shutdown)Pension 5% employee / 3% employerHSF Health Scheme + Perkbox discountsCycle to Work SchemeFull training & career development into instruction/assessingWhy Make the Move?
