FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Light division based from our Hickstead depot. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. As our Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining and removing traffic management.
The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:
* Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
* Assisting with the diversion of traffic
* Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale
* Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public are abiding by lights
* Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team
* Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on site assessments
* Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified
* To be on call, out of hours on a rota basis if required
What skills and experience do you need?
To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and a traffic management Lantra tickets. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware and comply with the provided RAMS.
