Senior Pricing Manager
Competitive salary, plus £4,800 car allowance, full family healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential, 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with service and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates
Permanent, Full time
This role is based in our London Farringdon office (EC1A 1AA). You will be expected to attend the office 2–3 days per week.
Shape the Pricing of a £7.8bn Organisation
Join a high‑profile pricing team operating at the centre of one of the UK’s most iconic businesses. Our work spans Domestic Parcels, Letters and International products — and the decisions we make directly influence the future success of the organisation.
We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Pricing Manager to lead our Deal Desk Team and drive intelligent, commercially sound pricing decisions that deliver real value. If you're a pricing professional with a passion for data‑driven strategy, stakeholder influence and commercial impact, this is a role where you’ll truly make your mark.
Why this role matters
Reporting to the Head of Pricing, you’ll take ownership of customer‑specific pricing for some of our most important accounts. You’ll maximise value across our retail product portfolio, lead a talented team, and shape how we approach high‑value commercial deals.
This is a role where your expertise will be visible and influential — across Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and all the way up to senior leadership.
What you’ll be doing
As our Senior Pricing Manager, you will:
* Lead and develop our Deal Desk Team, setting clear goals, coaching for growth, and creating a high‑performing and positive working environment.
* Take the lead on major customer deals, including those worth £10m+ in annual revenue, providing sharp commercial recommendations for senior approval forums.
* Build strong relationships across Sales and Business Units, using deep customer insight to shape compelling deal proposals.
* Oversee the customer‑specific pricing process, ensuring proposals reflect the true value Royal Mail delivers.
* Influence stakeholders across Legal, Regulatory, Operations and Finance to secure aligned, compliant, and commercially robust pricing outcomes.
* Drive insight through segmentation, market analysis and competitor intelligence, supporting smarter, more strategic decision‑making.
About you
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
* Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills, with confidence engaging Senior Managers and Directors.
* Experience leading teams and driving change in a commercial environment.
* Proven commercial acumen and the ability to spot opportunities others miss.
* Experience navigating complex pricing scenarios and shaping clear commercial viewpoints.
* An analytical background — whether through a relevant degree or experience working with large datasets.
* Solid Excel skills (pivot tables and advanced formulas).
* Strong financial understanding, especially around cost contribution, elasticity, and margin analysis.
Why join us?
You’ll be joining a respected, strategically vital team where your work has genuine impact. This is an opportunity to shape pricing at scale, influence multimillion‑pound decisions, and develop your career within a complex and high‑profile organisation.
If you're ready for a challenge that’s both analytical and strategic — and want the chance to lead, innovate and grow — we’d love to hear from you.
