Care and Support (Worker Supported Living), L'Arche Bognor Regis ABOUT THE ROLE Reports to: Registered Manager of Supported Living Hours of work: 30 hours per week. Days and times will vary, but rotas will be planned at least 2 weeks in advance. Weekend and bank holiday cover will be necessary; earliest start 7am and the latest finish could occasionally be 10pm. Salary: Start rate of £12.21 per hour, rising after 12 months and a successful probation period. Main purpose of the role: To support members of our community who have learning disabilities, to go about their daily lives. This involves building relationships and sharing the joys and challenges of daily life. This role will include personal care and administration of medication. In this role, you will work alongside core members, volunteers and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the house, the welfare of the core members and integrate as part of the wider community. You will support people with any spiritual choices they make; engage in activities with them and support them both inside and outside of their home environment, and you may be asked to accompany people to places of worship, events or to appointments. The responsibilities will be split: 80% Supporting people with learning disabilities with day to day life; 10% Using a digital system to record what you do during your shift; 10% Learning & Development and regular meetings with your line manager; ABOUT L'ARCHE BOGNOR REGIS L'Arche Bognor Regis supports around 23 adults with learning disabilities in both residential and Supported Living environments.
