Practice Management Systems Administrator Ever watched a roomful of solicitors wrestle with software that should make their lives easier? We need someone who can fix that and actually enjoys it. You'll be the bridge between "this system could be brilliant" and "this system actually works." One day you're troubleshooting why conveyancing stamps won't update. The next, you're project-managing the rollout of a new client portal or finally solving the WiFi situation everyone complains about. This is a standalone role reporting to the Managing Partner, but you'll touch every corner of the firm. You'll work with the outsourced PMS and IT support, champion best practice, and turn "we've always done it this way" into "why didn't we do this sooner?" What You'll Actually Do Own the practice management system end-to-end: training, troubleshooting, upgrades, improvements Project manage new applications: gather requirements, test with users, manage suppliers, implement smoothly Champion efficiency: spot what's clunky, propose what's better, make it happen Support everyone (but you won't be alone, the firm have another trainer for day-to-day PMS basics) Recent projects? Switching dictation systems, rolling out DocuSign, upgrading document bundling software. Coming up? Client portal implementation, historical records cleanup (GDPR), possibly exploring a completely new PMS. About You Operational PMS experience in a law firm from the user side, you understand what fee-earners actually need Project management: you've implemented applications, managed testing, wrangled third-party suppliers Technical comfort without the jargon, you can explain things clearly to people who just want their software to work Improvement mindset: you see inefficiency and think "I can fix that" This is a varied role which is visible across the firm.
