Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Technician performs acceptance inspections of raw materials, components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies according to documented inspection plans using various metrology tools. The role involves adhering to and promoting our Quality Management System procedures and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections following inspection plans or instructions
* Record inspection results legibly
* Use metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs for mechanical measurements
* Perform visual inspections using microscopes
* Identify, segregate, and report non-conformances
* Prepare final source inspection documentation
* Prepare First Article Inspection documentation
* Maintain a neat and organized workspace
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Experience as an inspector preferred
* OpenDMIS CMM software experience preferred
* GD&T certification preferred
