Overview
Our integrated teams of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals deliver care to people with significant physical health care needs across clinic, community inpatient settings, hospices, and patient homes, including care homes. The service supports independence and aims to reduce hospital admissions. The Healthy Child Programme includes universal health reviews and breastfeeding support, delivered by the Broxtowe Healthy Families Team. Notts HC Trust is UNICEF GOLD Standard.
Care pathways cover services such as Physiotherapy, OT, Speech and Language, Dietetics and Podiatry, supported by administrative and managerial roles essential to delivering high-quality community health services now and in the future.
Responsibilities
* Deliver universal health reviews and breastfeeding support as part of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme.
* Demonstrate proven experience of working with children and families; lone working with parents and children during development reviews.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills; act on your own initiative and escalate issues to Specialist Public Health Practitioners who lead the Healthy Families Team.
* Be flexible to meet service needs, manage time effectively, have good IT skills, and work independently or within a team.
* Work with Partners to deliver high quality services to Children and Young People.
* Participate in induction, training, safeguarding supervision, and contribute to team development.
* Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and provide a vehicle for business use (reasonable adjustments available under the Equality Act 2010).

Qualifications and Requirements
* Enthusiastic and motivated Healthy Child Assistant; experience and passionate attitude towards breastfeeding is essential.
* Proven ability to work with and support children and families; comfortable with lone working and development reviews.
* Flexible to meet service needs, with good time management and IT skills; able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Safeguarding awareness and adherence to policies and procedures.
* A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use; reasonable adjustments available for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
* Good NHS-related experience is advantageous; applicants with no prior NHS experience may be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
