We’re looking for an experienced Data Manager to build our data management and compliance group playing a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of clinical trial data management across multiple sites and countries. You will oversee data collection, validation, and reporting processes, working closely with site coordinators, investigators, and sponsors to uphold regulatory standards and protocol compliance. Your leadership ensures that data management systems are optimized for efficiency and scalability, enabling real-time insights, and accelerating trial timelines. At Civia, your contributions aren’t just transactional; they’re transformational. What You’ll Do Oversee clinical research data compliance programs for US and UK operations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations. Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks. Collaborate with Central Services, Legal, IT, HR, Site Operations, and Data Protection Office to ensure data handling practices are compliant and ethical. Monitor regulatory changes related to clinical research data and advise leadership on implications and required actions. Line Manage junior data managers such as Data Entry or Data Associate roles Lead incident response efforts related to data breaches or privacy concerns. Serve as the point of contact for data protection authorities and internal stakeholders. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in business, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy or compliance, with exposure to both US and UK regulations. Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection laws. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment. CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification is a plus.
