Staff Nurse (OPMH) role at Devon Partnership NHS Trust on Beech Ward, based at Torbay Hospital in Torquay. Beech Ward is a 16-bed inpatient Mental Health Ward that supports primarily older adults with functional mental health difficulties.

Requirements
We are seeking Band 5 Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses to join Beech Ward. A UK registration and Nursing PIN are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be supported by a team of experienced Band 6 nurses and the Ward Manager.
About Beech Ward and Team
Beech Ward is a 16-bed inpatient ward within Torbay Hospital that supports older adults with functional mental health difficulties. The ward is part of a Trust committed to promoting good mental health and wellbeing and developing a culture of coproduction with patients, families and carers.
Main duties of the job
* To assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans.
* To provide holistic, recovery-focused and compassionate care to people who use our services.
* To provide named nurse role to people who use our service.
* To promote and improve quality of service provided.
* To manage the unit in the absence of Ward Manager / Team Leader.
* To participate in the internal rotation system including weekend working.
* To be a proactive, skilled member of the ward Multi-Disciplinary team.
* To have knowledge and experience of providing individual and group clinical/therapy work.
* To demonstrate effective leadership and assist with providing advice and guidance to non-qualified staff and students.
* To be responsible for the provision and maintenance of effective therapeutic relationships, which at all times acknowledges the rights, personal dignity and encourages opportunity for growth and development of the person using this service.
Qualifications
* RMN / Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or RNLD / Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) with current registration.
