CAD Technician (Construction Drawings Focus) Outskirts of Glasgow
A well-established construction business on the outskirts of Glasgow is looking to add an experienced CAD Technician to support live projects with high-quality, construction-ready drawings. This role is ideal for someone who takes real pride in producing clear, accurate, buildable information and enjoys working closely with design, engineering and site teams.
The role
Youll be responsible for creating and maintaining coordinated drawing packages from tender stage through to completion, ensuring drawings reflect real-world site constraints, sequencing, and required standards. Youll work closely with a Design Manager and wider project teams to keep documentation accurate, up to date and issued correctly.
Key responsibilities
Produce accurate construction issue drawings, details and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
Manage drawing packages across the full project lifecycle (tender, coordination, revisions, as-built updates)
Review and comment on structural steelwork drawings with a practical focus on buildability and coordination
Coordinate with design, engineering and site teams to resolve clashes and drawing queries (RFIs, redlines, revisions)
