Mechanical Design Engineer /Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Luton
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 DOE
An established building services and engineering consultancy is seeking an eager and experienced Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design across a range of developments
Develop detailed design drawings, reports, and specifications
Manage project delivery and support junior team members with technical guidance and mentorship
Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design integrity and compliance
Coordinate closely with electrical, public health, and sustainability teams
Apply current building regulations, standards, and low-carbon design principlesWhat we’re looking for:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience
Chartered or working toward Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE or equivalent)
Strong experience in mechanical building services design, particularly within healthcare projects
Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
