Job Summary
Grade H-I SCP 27 £38,220 – SCP 35 £46,142 plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963 per annum.
Contract: 3x Fixed Term Contracts (1x Until Feb 2027, 1x Until March 2027, 1x Until March 2028).
Responsibilities
* Provide statutory service to Looked After Children and Care Leavers aged 16 to 25, supporting a smooth transition to adulthood.
* Support Young People in making constructive plans for their future and achieving positive outcomes in health, accommodation, education, employment and training.
* Conduct assessments, planning and intervention to meet needs and address risk.
* Work creatively and collaboratively to redress the disadvantage faced by Care Leavers, many of whom have had traumatic life experiences.
* Tackle complex and challenging needs, risks and behaviours, using a persistent approach when engaging with resistance.
* Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and young people.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Essential Requirement: Driving Licence, DBS Clearance, Registered with SW England.
* Essential Qualification: CQSW / DIPSW / Social Work Degree or equivalent.
* Fluency duty: specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
* DBS clearance required – the post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
