Working hours: 20 hours per week Interview Date: Week commencing 8th June 2026 We are looking for a part time Support Worker, an exciting opportunity to work with residents in our Assessment Hub, Newport, Isle of Wight. The role is 20 hours per week on a 2 week rolling rota. You will part of the team within The Salvation Army 17-bed Assessment Hub, Howard House. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, a good communicator, passionate and positive. You will work collaboratively within the Hub, developing the services’ multi-agency approach and supporting residents to progress on their individual journeys from street to home through the stages of the Isle of Wight Homelessness Pathway. Key Responsibilities: The Support Worker role within The Salvation Army is inspirational and key to achieving successful outcomes for our clients. You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality psychologically and trauma informed programmes of support, promoting client’s strengths, independence and choice. You will address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead fulfilling lives.
