THE EMPLOYER IS: CARGO COFFEEWe are looking for a Trainee Roastery Assistant to join our coffee roastery team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the craft of coffee roasting and production in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, team spirit, eagerness to learn, and a love for specialty coffee. This is a development role with real progression opportunities into roasting. Training will include roast profiling, machine safety, production efficiency, food hygiene standards, and coffee grading basics.
Responsibilities
* Support daily roasting operations.
* Assist with green bean handling.
* Assist with batch production.
* Weigh and pack coffee.
* Carry out quality checks.
* Fulfil orders for wholesale and retail customers.
Skills and Qualifications
* Basic numeracy and writing skills.
* Coffee knowledge.
