Job Title: Cat Scan Tech

Your Responsibilities
* Review charts and prescriptions to confirm valid physician orders for CT procedures.
* Gather essential clinical information and adhere to special requests from physicians.
* Prepare contrast media in line with departmental policies.
* Ensure accurate patient identification before procedures.
* Initiate life support measures when necessary.
* Assist in lifting and moving patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Perform diagnostic CT procedures under the guidance of a radiologist.
* Identify abnormalities during scans and take initiative to gather additional information as needed.
* Select appropriate technical factors and imaging modes tailored to each patient.
* Practice aseptic techniques diligently.
* Administer intravenous contrast media as per physician orders.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
* Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiological Technology.
* Current New York State licensure or permit to practice as a Radiological Technologist.
* Ability to think and act quickly to provide efficient, quality patient care.
* Strong reading and deductive skills for interpreting physician requests.
* Interpersonal skills to engage with apprehensive patients compassionately.
* Effective communication skills for collaboration with physicians and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a similar role is a plus!
Working Conditions
Union: CSEA - Civil Service Employees Association (MH)
Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible.
Physical Requirements
This role involves medium work, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently. Expect frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
Compensation
Pay Range: $31.80 - $42.99
This pay range reflects the current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be adjusted in the future and is eligible for additional pay components based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
