Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pizza, Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring the consistent preparation of high-quality pizzas. Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during service hours
* Supervise and support kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Prepare ingredients and assemble pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
* Manage inventory levels, organise stock rotation, and communicate supply needs to the management team
* Support the head chef in menu development and presentation of dishes
* Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner during busy periods
* Assist with serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality experience
Experience
* Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
* Extensive background in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
* Experience in pizza preparation or similar culinary disciplines is highly desirable
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
* Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food presentation and customer service excellence
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment such as hospitality or catering roles is advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
