KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Southport
Start: Autumn Term 2025 | Temp to Perm | Teaching Personnel
We are seeking a caring and dedicated KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming infant school in Southport this autumn. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering the chance to become a valued long-term member of the team.
About the role:
* Supporting a pupil in Key Stage 1 with special educational needs
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning
* Providing one-to-one and small-group support in lessons and during play
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children in an educational or care setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
* Is patient, compassionate and adaptable to different learning needs
* Has strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team
* Can commit to supporting the school’s values and ethos

Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* Suitable references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
