SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
2025-2026 School Year
ProCare Therapy is working with a local school district to hire a qualified Special Education Teacher. The teacher must have an active teaching certificate from the State Department of Education or pending approval for reciprocity from another state.
Those employed for the available positions will serve as a contract worker. All pay, benefits, human resources claims, etc. will be overseen by the ProCare Therapy support staff.

Full-Time Employee Benefits:
A benefit of contract work is that the teacher is only required to work contracted hours. They are not to work morning/afternoon duty, stay late for Parent Teacher Conferences or other functions, or attend professional development days unless directed in the contract.

Candidate Qualifications:
Information regarding specific certification and licensing requirements for educators may be found on the States Department of Education Website.
* Bachelors in Special Education OR a degree specific to teaching students with Special Needs.
* Active Teaching Certificate
* Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

* Teacher will demonstrate a working knowledge of the pedagogy of education.
* Teacher will create lessons that are engaging and meet state standards to ensure that all students are able to access the curriculum.
* Teacher will provide differentiated instruction to students to ensure they are able to access the curriculum based on strengths and needs outlined in the students Individualized Education Plan.
* Teacher will monitor and report progress toward current IEP goals and work with service providers to identify areas to focus on moving forward.
* Teacher will maintain positive relationships with parents, administrators, grade level and content area teams, as well as service providers in order to create a collaborative setting where the students growth is in everyone's best interest.
Interview Specifics:
* Applicants will go through an informal prescreening process with recruiters at ProCare Therapy to ensure qualifications are met.
* Applicants will be interviewed by the school or district department lead. The interview is typically a 30 minute Zoom call.
* The school/district may request a second interview where the applicant comes to campus.
* In junction with the school/district, ProCare Therapy will offer qualified candidates the position and begin the onboarding process.
