This Opportunity in One Sentence

You will be part of a small team that is deployed into a newly acquired company to integrate, manage, oversee and grow that business.

This Opportunity in One Minute

We acquire performing UK businesses. When we complete a new acquisition we deploy a Portfolio Director and a small team of associates to integrate, manage, oversee and grow that company. You will be first "on the ground" and expected to rapidly understand all key business relationships, processes, sales channels and marketing programmes. You will work with the existing teams to drive the business forward. In time, you will work across multiple companies. A successful Portfolio Associate will have the opportunity to grow into a Portfolio Director.

Who We Are

We are a privately owned investment company based in Christchurch, Dorset. We have a record of building multiple £10million+ startups from scratch across the last fifteen years.

We are building a portfolio of companies in the British Engineering and Manufacturing sector via the M&A model.

We buy profitable, performing companies with solid management teams and both current and forward going growth opportunities.

We then work in tandem with those teams to grow the companies and take them to the next level.

We value openness, bravery, and a drive to do the right thing (even especially when it's hard) - above all we value ownership and only work with people who take responsibility for what they do.

We work fast, work smart and fail quickly to make big things happen with small teams of people, who are quickly rewarded if they can achieve success for us. (It's worth noting that in the past, people who have started in roles like this one have gone on to be shareholders of £multi-million companies).

About The Role

Portfolio Associates will be part of a team given a profitable, established company that we have recently acquired.

Your role will include:

* Integrate that company into our group (mission, values, processes)

* Establish very strong relationships with the existing management team

* Quickly gain a very high level of understanding of all business activities and processes

* Ensure that we have control of all key business partners and relationships

* Work to execute ambitious growth plans, streamline processes and modernise the company.

Travel - This role is either based out of our Christchurch Office or in the Midlands onsite at company locations. Travel to our UK companies will be a significant part of the role.

Who You Are

You are ambitious. Hungry for an opportunity to prove what you can do.

You are smart - you know that every single problem can be solved and you take responsibility to find solutions.

You are personable - comfortable speaking with stakeholders, building new relationships and hold yourself well in new environments.

It is not required that you have experience in a role like this, but you will likely have spent some time towards the decision end of a growing business.

Ideally we want someone who has been in the thick of successful business transformation, significant growth, or fast moving companies.

Above all we require that you have a passion for growing companies and a desire to turn things into the very best they can be.

Overall, we see this being an excellent opportunity for a high performer who wants to step up and have responsibility for making exciting things happen.
