Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Complete full sets of accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and handle general ledger entries
Assist with VAT returns and tax filings
Communicate with clients and gather financial information as needed
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines
What We're Looking For Essential:
At least 2 years experience in a private accountancy practice
Proven ability to complete a full set of accounts independently
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent communication and client liaison skills
Able to manage workload independently and take initiative
Desirable:
Experience working with charities or community-led organisations
Understanding of fund accounting or grant reporting
Payroll knowledge is a plus
