Overview
Hotel Receptionist (40 hours p/w) - ibis Bridgwater. The role focuses on delivering high standards of hospitality and welcome, promoting the hotel’s services, and supporting a positive work culture centered on the company values.
Job Details
Hours will be a mixture of early shifts (06:45am till 3:15pm) and late shifts (2:30pm till 11:00pm), 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and promotions offered by the hotel and relay this information to guests to maximise hotel sales.
* Have a full working knowledge of the rewards programme and enrol new members where possible.
* Anticipate guests’ needs and carry out requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
* Be fully conversant and able to operate the hotel’s front office systems.
* Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guest bills following standard procedures.
* Be aware of hotel availability and maximise room sales opportunities.
* Deal with cash, cheque and credit transactions in accordance with policy; report any discrepancies immediately.
* Ensure the float is checked and correct; pass on messages promptly and accurately.
* Maintain knowledge of the local area, including history, places of interest and events.
* Operate the hotel switchboard and handle internal and external calls according to procedure.
* Display and fulfil a positive service style.
What You Should Bring
* Customer service experience, preferably in an Accor Brand (not essential).
* Experience in a similar role.
