What You Will Do: Set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathes with precision, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality output. Interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings, and tooling sheets to prepare for machining operations. Monitor machining processes and make in-process adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Inspect components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges, ensuring they meet exact specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with 5S principles and perform routine machine maintenance. Accurately complete documentation, including inspection records, batch cards, and tool life data, ensuring full traceability and compliance with quality standards. What You Will Bring: Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Setter / Operator, ideally with 3-axis CNC lathes. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with FANUC or similar G-code-based controls, with the ability to create or modify programs (if authorised). Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
