Role: Freelance Creative Strategist


Function: | Meta & TikTok Ads | Performance Creative | Data Optimisation

Responsibility: Drive performance creative and growth for Gulp-1's D2C channels.

Reports to: Marketing Lead / Founders

Location: Remote

Compensation: £1500 - £2000 per month (freelance contract)


Overview:

Gulp-1 is a fast growing D2C brand helping thousands of people beat cravings, feel fuller for longer, and achieve sustainable weight loss - naturally. With a science-backed product, glowing customer reviews, and a strong mission, were scaling rapidly and looking for a freelance creative strategist to help drive our next phase of growth.


This role is all about taking ownership of our performance creative - ideating, testing and optimising ad campaigns that cut through, convert, and build the Gulp-1 brand. You'll work directly with the founders and marketing team to delivery campaigns that fuel customer acquisition and retention across Meta and TikTok.


You'll be responsible for developing and executing performance-driven creative concepts for paid social. You'll take creative insights from our data, customer feedback and marketing trends and turn them into high-performing ads, scripts and briefs for content creators.


This is a flexible freelance role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast paced D2C environment and wants to have a direct impact on a brand making a difference.


Responsibilities:

* Create and execute ad creative strategies across Meta and TikTok that drive conversions.
* Develop briefs for UGC creators, influencers, and production partners.
* Analyse creative performance data to identify winning hooks, angles, and formats.
* Write ad copy and video scripts tailored to customer psychology and pain points.
* Stay on top of weight-loss and wellness trends to feed into campaign concepts.
* Report regularly on creative performance and provide recommendations for scaling.
* Work closely with the founders and marketing team to ensure creative aligns with brand voice and growth goals.


Requirements:

* 3+ years in performance creative, paid social, or D2C marketing.
* Experience developing creative that scales customer acquisition for consumer brands.
* Strong understanding of Meta & TikTok ad platforms.
* Data-driven approach: confident in reading performance metrics and iterating quickly.
* Excellent copywriting and storytelling ability.
* Experience with UGC and influencer-style ads is a big plus.
* Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a lean, fast-growth environment.
