Application Support Engineer - FinTech - £120K Our client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm, based in brand-new offices central Newcastle. They build innovative, in-house, software for algo trading, investment and asset managers and banks around the world, and are growing their Application and Support Engineering team. In a varied role you’ll be involved in client-facing support across the business, supporting complex, sophisticated, trading applications - 2nd and 3rd line support. You’ll worked closely with Development, Quant and DevOps teams to build and implement improvements, manage new code deployments and drive automation. Requirements: Experience in a similar Application Support / Support Engineering position Ability to work with demanding clients, supporting applications and delivering releases FinTech, FS and / or SaaS experience Coding experience to be able to fix bugs and troubleshoot Experience of supporting and improving applications SQL knowledge Good Infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networking etc) understanding Experience of monitoring and automation DevOps and Cloud (Azure) knowledge is ideal Excellent academic background (top university, strong A Levels etc)
