Engtal is working with a civil contractor that builds the stuff most people never see — until it breaks. Power infrastructure, water, utility work — the kind of projects where if something goes wrong, it’s not just a busted schedule. It’s someone’s life.

They’re looking for a Safety Manager. Not a clipboard cop. Not a policy parrot. A real safety pro — someone who knows how to walk onto a jobsite, gain respect, and make people actually want to work safer.

This company believes safety isn’t a department — it’s a culture. They’ve built a good one. Your job is to keep it sharp.

Here’s what the role looks like:

* You’ll be in the field regularly. Not stuck in an office writing memos no one reads.
* You’ll lead safety meetings that don’t put people to sleep.
* You’ll work with supers, PMs, and execs — not against them.
* You’ll handle incident investigations, audits, orientations, and program updates like a pro.
* You’ll train crews without talking down to them. That part matters.

They’re looking for someone who:

* Has 5+ years in construction safety (civil, utility, or infrastructure work preferred).
* Knows OSHA regs like the back of their hand, but also knows when to speak human.
* Has the certifications — CHST, OSHA 30, etc. — but doesn’t need to flash a badge to lead.
* Can travel to job sites across the region (mostly MA, occasionally neighboring states).

Why this company?

* Because safety isn’t just a line item in the budget.
* Because the leadership team actually walks the walk.
* Because you’ll be treated like a key part of the business — not an afterthought.
* And because they’re doing high-profile work that actually matters.

If you’ve ever been the only person on a jobsite who actually cared about safety — and wished the rest of the company did too — this might be the one you’ve been waiting for.

Let’s talk. I’ll tell you who the client is once we connect. And no, you don’t have to submit a cover letter. Just be good at your job.
