Finance Manager Finance Manager Permanent Location - Glasgow (Hybrid working) 65,000 - 70,000 About the role This position is for a Finance Manager within a well-established housing association based in Glasgow, offering the chance to play a key role in financial leadership, reporting, and strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with the Director of Finance and wider leadership team, helping shape financial strategy while ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and a high-quality finance service across the organisation and its subsidiaries. There's also a strong emphasis on: Working closely with non-finance teams and helping them understand performance Maintaining robust controls and governance in a regulated environment Supporting ongoing improvements, particularly around systems and reporting This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys being hands-on but also wants to be part of the bigger picture, contributing to how the housing association plans and delivers its services for the future. What you'll be doing Lead the delivery of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts Support the annual business plan and long-term financial planning Prepare and oversee statutory accounts and external audit processes Manage treasury activities, loan accounts, and cash flow forecasting Provide financial insight to senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders Ensure compliance with regulatory returns (SHR, OSCR, HMRC, FCA) Oversee payroll, VAT, and financial controls across the organisation Support and develop the finance team, ensuring a high-performing function What we're looking for Must haves: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or similar) Experience producing statutory accounts and leading on audit processes Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting Ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders Previous experience of managing or supervising finance staff Nice to have: Experience within housing or a regulated environment Exposure to treasury, funding, or development finance Experience implementing or improving finance systems, such as Homemaster, Rubixx or Brik Why this role stands out Leadership exposure - part of the wider leadership team influencing decisions Varied role - combines reporting, planning, treasury, and strategy Real impact - supporting services that directly affect communities Strong benefits - including pension and flexible/hybrid working Interested?
