Job Description
You will design, implement, and maintain a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise and Azure environments. Working within the cyber security and infrastructure team, you'll manage Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and contribute to a transition toward cloud-first solutions.Key responsibilities include:
3. Managing and optimising virtualised environments
4. Supporting Azure adoption and hybrid cloud solutions
5. Maintaining core services (AD, DNS, DHCP) and planning Entra ID migration
6. Ensuring infrastructure meets security and compliance standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR)
7. Delivering 2nd/3rd line support and resolving complex issues
8. Supporting disaster recovery, backup, and monitoring processes
9. Acting as a design authority for infrastructure solutions
10. Contributing to infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement
The Successful Applicant
You will have:
11. 3+ years' experience in infrastructure or systems administration
12. Strong Windows Server and Active Directory expertise
13. Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
14. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
15. Exposure to Azure and hybrid cloud environments
16. Understanding of infrastructure security and compliance frameworks
You'll also be:

18. Comfortable working across both support and project work
19. A collaborative team player with clear communication skills
20. Proactive with a focus on continuous improvement
21. Desirable experience includes Azure migrations, scripting/automation, PCI DSS environments, and working within the charity or public sector.
