GSL Education are seeking an inspiring Teacher of Media Studies / Film Studies to engage students in exploring visual media, storytelling, representation, and digital culture for schools in Nottingham (NG5). This Teacher of Media Studies / Film Studies role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys combining creativity with critical thinking and helping students understand the power of media and film.
Your Role in the Classroom as a Teacher of Media Studies / Film Studies:
* Deliver engaging Media Studies and/or Film Studies lessons
* Teach key concepts such as representation, narrative, genre, and audience
* Support students with coursework, analysis, and practical projects
* Encourage critical discussion, debate, and creative expression
* Adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
* Maintain a focused, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
What We’re Looking For in a Teacher of Media Studies / Film Studies:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Media Studies and/or Film Studies (preferred)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for media and film
* Confident classroom management skills
* Creative, organised, and student-focused approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
