Speech and Language Therapist Full job description Salary £(phone number removed) Per annum 36 hours per week Monday – Thursday – 8.30 am – 4.30 pm Friday - 8.30am - 3pm (staff training will take place on some Fridays - 3pm - 5pm) Term Time Only 39 weeks Responsible for: Supporting students in class with complex communication needs, ensuring that all students have and are using a method of communication, assess communication needs of pupils, implement interventions and assess the outcomes, write reports and work within the multidisciplinary team. The Specialist Speech and Language Therapist post provides for pupils with ASC and complex communication difficulties as well as supporting a range of other SEN including Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Global Development Delay. Duties include the delivery of therapy interventions ensuring that the speech, language and communication are integrated into daily structures where possible through direct class support as well as offering targeted support to those children who need additional interventions.
