The Senior Planner has the lead responsibility for the Part 145 Planning team for Pre input planning of aircraft base/line maintenance and creation of aircraft work packs and detailed planning of scheduled maintenance activity. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all essential activities are concluded in a timely manner and priorities are clearly adhered to. He or she will work a 5,5,4 shift pattern between 0700-1900.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and oversee the work package creation for the aircraft inputs, planning from start to finish and ensuring clear identification of responsibilities throughout the business.
* Lead the team to produce agreed Part 145 work packages, including the technical instructions, resource and material requirements, for all scheduled maintenance events.
* Scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance work package build/assembly including milestones, resource and critical path planning.
* Generation of Preload equipment summary reports including tooling, parts and material call-ups.
* Identification of work content requiring the services of external agencies and sub-contractors
* Detailed review of work content including the identification of complex, safety critical, critical path and any other tasks requiring additional regulatory requirements.
* Checking of tasks cards for accuracy and completeness and applying task time estimates.
* Chair and attend meetings to provide Pre input meeting aircraft status updates or similar.
* Improve work processes and highlight any issues to the Planning, Logistics and Stores Manager if unable to rectify by self.
* Work with the Planning Manager to ensure accuracy in Exeter Aerospace’s maintenance plan and slot allocation.
* Train/Mentor new starters to ensure they are able to fulfil their duties and regulatory requirements.

* Experience in using aircraft technical documentation to plan aircraft maintenance with task and ground time estimation.
* Previous Planning experience, with base or line.
* Ability to review tasks to ensure they are adequately planned.
* Ability to converse with all levels of seniority.
* Ability to perform under pressure and be a self-starter.
* An appreciation of Part 145 Planning requirements and Continuous improvement techniques.
* Good all round knowledge of relevant IT systems and proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Excel & Word).
* Willingness to embrace change and to drive improvements within the business.

* Fluent in English (written & spoken).
