Waste Collection Manager - OTE £50,000 - Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a hands‑on Waste Collection Manager to join our Derby team. This is a fast‑paced, field‑based role where you’ll lead from the front – growing a customer base, developing your team, and delivering an outstanding waste service. The Role
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of waste collection representatives, spending time in the field to support and improve performance.
* Drive revenue growth by sourcing and winning new business and developing existing customer accounts.
* Manage and grow customer relationships, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery.
* Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and work orders to maximise efficiency and performance.
* Deliver against individual, team, and branch sales and waste targets.
* Handle customer queries and issues promptly, maintaining high service standards.
* Manage team availability, including holiday and sickness cover, to ensure consistent service.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with HSEQ standards.
About You
You’ll come from a sales or account management background and be confident building strong relationships with customers. You’re a natural communicator who enjoys asking the right questions, spotting opportunities, and delivering results in a target‑driven environment. With some leadership or supervisory experience, you’re comfortable supporting and guiding others while leading by example. You’ll also hold a full UK Class 2 driver’s licence and be happy working in a field‑based role.
