Head of Business Development Healthcare Staffing – Remote
Salary: £90k basic with OTE around £165k. Must be UK based.
This is a senior remote role for someone who knows the sector well and can take full ownership of building relationships, winning contracts, and driving national growth.
About the role
You will lead all business development activity for our healthcare staffing service from a remote working setup. This includes building a strong pipeline of care homes, supported living providers, private hospitals, community services, and local authorities. You will shape the commercial strategy, open new regions, and secure long‑term staffing agreements that create steady revenue. You will work closely with the leadership team to set targets, improve processes, and develop a clear plan for national expansion. This is a role for someone who is confident speaking with senior decision makers, can negotiate at a high level, and understands how to grow a staffing agency safely and sustainably.
Key responsibilities
* Build and manage a pipeline of clients across care homes, home care agencies, supported living providers, private healthcare services, and NHS supply opportunities.
* Lead on winning new contracts through outreach, meetings, proposals, rate card development, and negotiation.
* Build strong relationships with key decision makers and maintain regular contact to support long‑term partnerships.
* Oversee the onboarding of new clients and create a smooth handover to the operations team.
* Identify opportunities in new regions and help shape national growth plans.
* Work with the recruitment team to ensure supply aligns with client requirements.
* Produce weekly commercial updates and maintain clear visibility on all deals.
* Represent the company in meetings, events, and sector conversations.
* Strengthen the company reputation through consistent delivery and professional communication.
What we are looking for
* Strong experience in healthcare staffing or a very similar field.
* Confident communicator who can engage directors, owners, procurement leads, and senior managers.
* Someone who enjoys taking responsibility for strategy and commercial growth.
* Understanding of rate cards, margins, and commercial negotiation.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy pipeline.
* A clear understanding of compliance within the sector.
* Positive, proactive, and reliable.
