We are currently recruiting for a leading and prestigious Timber manufacturing company, due to their continued progress and development they are seeking to employ an Operations Manager for their site in Wellingborough, Northants.

The successful candidate will be providing leadership and direction for all operational staff in all matters relating to management, production and movement of timber engineering products.
Ensuring the branch is run efficiently as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the needs and expectations of customers and clients
This is a permanent role, offering a very competitive salary and benefits.
Hours will be 45 per week Monday - Friday 7am – 4.30pm.
Our client is the forefront of their industry with more than 12 sites across the UK and continuing to expand, they manufacture high quality Timber Frame, Roof Trusses, Posi-joists and a wide range of engineered timber solutions.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Adding value to the senior management team by solving business challenges and strategic issues effectively.
Oversee production planning and management activities within the branch.
Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Develop the production plan, budget and timelines according to production specifications.
Responsible for the estimating, design, production, stock control, waste management, transport, and goods inwards for the branch.
Identifying skills gaps in our current workforce and facilitating the training, learning and development of the workforce.
Accountable for the safety, well-being, training and development of the employees under your remit in the branch.
Skills Required for the role
Strong management and organisational skills.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities on a regular basis.
Experience in all aspects of workplace health & safety management and reporting.
Excellent knowledge of the industry.
Strong communication skills.
