We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plant and Equipment Fitter to join our operational team, based out of Redditch. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of plant, grounds maintenance, and arboricultural machinery across multiple high-profile contracts.This role plays a key part in supporting operations in South Yorkshire, Birmingham (Keir Group), and on HS2 sites, including coordination with subcontractors and managing equipment movements between depots.Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults on plant and equipment including tractors, mowers, chippers, and chainsaws.
* Conduct regular maintenance and servicing to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
* Travel to operational sites (including South Yorkshire) to carry out mobile repairs and support subcontracted work.
* Prepare equipment for transport and deployment between depots.
* Keep accurate service logs and maintenance records.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSE guidelines and company policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or fitting, ideally within plant, grounds maintenance, or arboriculture.
* Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to work independently.
* Comfortable working across multiple sites and engaging with various operational teams.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
* Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
