The role
Reporting to the IT Manager and working in sprints alongside our BA and QA teams, you will develop software and ensure deployment runs on time for new features to our core ‘compliance as a service’ platform as well as assisting in the development of new products using key development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and SQL Server, with many of our products hosted in the cloud.
The role will be of interest to a Junior Developer who is ready to take the next step in their career and become a software engineer, or an existing software engineer looking to cement their skills in cloud technologies and modern FinTech related software projects whilst gaining exposure to both the UK automotive and insurance industries.
Essential skills & experience
* Commercial experience using Microsoft ASP .NET / Core Platform (we are looking for a skill level typically gained through around two years’ experience in a commercial software development environment, but would welcome candidates who can demonstrate an equivalent level of capability)
* Commercial experience using SQL databases
* Knowledge of modern system design including basic security principles
* Knowledge of a Typescript framework (Such as Angular or React)
* An understanding of MVC and REST APIs
* Specific experience with Angular or React
* Existing knowledge of UK Insurance (or other sector regulated by the FCA)
