THE ROLE As a Staging Crew Member, you’ll play a key part in the assembly and dismantling of staging, structures, and event infrastructure—making sure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to world-class standards. You’ll work closely with Construction Managers, Crew Bosses and specialist operators, contributing to builds of all sizes in environments that are dynamic, technical and rewarding. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Assemble and dismantle staging, steel work and other event structures Lead and guide local crew teams to ensure safe, quality installation Use tools and equipment correctly and responsibly Ensure safe handling and movement of materials Follow RAMS, project plans, and direction from Construction Managers Report hazards, incidents or near misses Maintain a safety-first approach at all times Health & Safety Responsibilities Attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABS) Comply with all site safety rules, PPE requirements and client policies Watch for dehydration, fatigue and unsafe conditions Know emergency exits, first aid locations and equipment Stop and report anything unsafe immediately Never operate with damaged tools or uncertain methods—always ask WHAT YOU WILL BRING Experience in construction, staging or live event builds Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to interpret structural drawings A collaborative mindset and strong team ethic Sound knowledge of health & safety principles Confidence supervising local or agency crew Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability Ability to work independently when needed SPECIALIST CREW ROLES We are recruiting for multiple specialist positions within the team: Slinger/Signaller Certified slinger/signaller Executes lift plans Communicates with crane operators via hand and radio signals Maintains safe lifting zones and identifies load characteristics Crane Supervisor Crane Supervisor certification required Oversees all lifting operations Conducts risk assessments and approves lift plans Ensures personnel competency and accurate lift records Appointed Person Plans all lifting operations and produces lift plans/RAMS Conducts site surveys and selects correct lifting equipment Ensures all lifting activities meet LOLER/PUWER standards Climbers Working at Height certified Assemble and secure structures at height Experienced in truss systems, grids and overhead components Uses fall protection equipment correctly Plant Operators (MEWP / Telehandler / FLT) Valid MEWP, Tele or FLT licence Conduct pre‑use checks and operate safely in varying conditions Understand load limits, sequencing, and structural drawings Scaffold & Steel Workers Experienced in scaffolding, black steel and truss construction Able to identify components and use tools safely Executes bolted connections and structural assembly Boneyard Manager Maintains organised, safe material storage areas Tracks inventory, prepares materials for builds Coordinates movement of components with site teams WORK ENVIRONMENT This is an on‑site, hands-on role with regular travel across the UK and internationally. You’ll work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors, in environments that are busy, dynamic and rewarding.
