Trainee Accountant - Derby
An opportunity has arisen for a career-driven Trainee Accountant to join a professional accountancy practice in Derby. This role is ideal for someone educated to A-Level standard or currently studying towards AAT (or equivalent) who is looking to develop a long-term career in accountancy. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, professional, and possess strong communication skills.
The role will provide broad exposure across accounting, tax and audit, supporting professional development and progression towards further qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
* Bookkeeping
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Preparing company tax computations and returns
* Preparing personal tax returns
* Supporting and attending statutory and non-statutory audits
