What you'll do Provide leadership in the design and development of the Global Sports App with a strong iOS focus.
Work with the Principal Engineer and Android Lead to drive the technical direction and the improvement of tools and processes across teams
Champion testing, code quality, accessibility, and standard methodologies as well as mentoring individuals
Facilitate and support with the technical analysis, solution design and integration-based phases of delivery
Coach and mentor Senior Developers and Developers, helping them to thrive in their career
Play a proactive role with regards to the setup and ongoing maintenance of effective monitoring and alerting across the app
Drive continuous improvement within a self-regulating team
Assist in crafting high quality software using Agile methodologies
Work with colleagues from other platforms such as backend and Android
Assist with the recruitment process – identifying skills gaps and playing an active role towards the recruitment of excellent candidates into technical roles
What you'll bring Good experience with Native iOS development.
Technical leadership / mentoring experience
Superb communication skills with the ability to provide written & verbal updates tailored to your audience
A passion for driving the quality, performance and resilience of the app technology
Depth in knowledge of software engineering standard methodology and non-functional requirements
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies and standard processes (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc)
