Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a skilled FC/ASW Mission Planning & Control Lead Architect to join their team in Stevenage. This is a critical role within a dedicated and driven systems engineering team, focusing on delivering Mission Planning & Control products for FC/ASW TP15 - a highly complex and significant weapon system that provides both future cruise and anti-ship capabilities across the UK and multiple international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate all architectural artefacts within the boundary of TP15 Mission Planning & Control
Guide other architects within the team to maximise modularity and re-use across multiple product offerings
Support and influence the design process through effective collaboration
Collaborate across various teams to achieve overarching project objectives
Ensure all activities are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality
Job Requirements:
Strong background in complex systems architecture, including practical experience with MBSE
Understanding or experience of key architectural principles in a product line environment
Proficiency with Rhapsody (essential) & SysML
Experience with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (formerly Rational Team Concert)
Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation is ideal
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
Leadership and influencing capabilities to coordinate activities across multi-skilled teams
Ability to learn rapidly and tackle complex problems independently
