Posted: 24 July
Offer description

Are you a dynamic, self-motivated individual with the ability to work creatively and accurately under pressure while sticking to tight deadlines? Do you have a passion for technical innovation while delivering work to the highest standards? Are you devoted to continuous improvement, delivering benefits for organisations and their customers? We may just have your ideal role!

We're about to embark on replacing our social care case management system affecting almost 3,000 employees. It is a substantial project and will require significant engagement from services across the county. We're looking for Project Co-ordinators to join our motivated, forward-thinking project team. These are 18-month fixed-term posts.

Main Responsibilities

* You will work closely with our implementation partner and workstream leads to support the delivery of our new system (Liquidlogic), working in areas such as System Design and Configuration, Finance, Testing and User Support.
* Support the workstream lead to define a plan for your workstream. Provide regular updates and highlight anything which may affect the ability to meet deadlines and milestones.
* Refine and document system requirements and decisions with service representatives, via workshops and group meetings.
* Coordinate the delivery of tasks defined in the project plan such as developing forms in the system, configuring workflows, defining picklists ensuring they are fully tested in readiness for end user testing.
* Document and prioritise system issues identified from user testing. Log and co-ordinate investigation, resolution and re-testing.
* Support the movement of data from one system to another, by helping define and document rules. Provide guidance, analysis and support to data cleansing activities being undertaken by service areas.
* Test and liaise with other areas of the project to ensure migration decisions are joined up with system design.
* Assist our Support Officers to provide reliable and consistent support to users on-site or via the helpdesk, e.g., answering routine queries, investigating and resolving issues, and signposting to available guidance where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

* Excellent communication skills because you’ll interact with lots of people across the organisation and external partners and contractors.
* Credible experience of quickly building effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and confidence to speak up and challenge if things aren’t right.
* Good planning and organisation skills as you’ll be working and supporting others to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to analyse complex facts or situations, interpret and translate these into practical clear advice.
* An eye for detail with ability to identify issues and solutions quickly.
* A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you'll quickly need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change focus quickly.
* Full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications.

We'd love to hear from you. If you'd like a further discussion about the role, please contact Jen Shorter at jen.shorter@staffordshire.gov.uk, Jane Smith at jane.smith3@staffordshire.gov.uk, or Claire Duffy at claire.duffy@staffordshire.gov.uk.
