Accounting (Employer) Officer

Permanent, Full Time

£26,860 to £31,600 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

Working Style: Anywhere worker

Please note there is an expectation for you to attend the office based in Chelmsford, 2 days per week.

Who are we?

The Essex Pension Fund is one of 86 pension funds which make up the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). The LGPS is the largest defined benefit pension scheme in England and Wales with a fund value of over £340billion.

On its own, our Fund looks after 182,000 Scheme Members, over 800 Employers and is valued at over £11billion, placing us within the top 10 LGPS funds in the country.

Here are some of the things you would you be doing?

Using a suite of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel Participate fully in the contributions accounting function throughout the year, including the year-end closure programme Contribute to the production of data for Actuarial Valuations, Interim Reviews and Year end accounting disclosures Participate in the Fund's dialogue with Actuaries and Employers on funding and contribution matters Opportunities to help support our investment team by assisting with various closure tasks, monthly Fund Manager reconciliations and other matters that arise
