HDFT Locality Manager Position
HDFT is seeking to recruit a Locality Manager to be part of a well-established and innovative 0-19 Children's team, renowned for creating a positive working culture and ethic. We are dedicated to improving public health outcomes for children and families in North Yorkshire.
The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, support, and management of skill mix teams, including health visitors, school nurses, family health practitioners, and screeners. They will ensure the delivery of commissioned activities in line with the care group, Public Health commissioners' service specifications, the national Healthy Child Programme, and public health outcomes framework.
The role involves promoting effective teamwork through excellent communication and facilitation skills, understanding and achieving team objectives, and maintaining good organizational skills. Flexibility to meet service needs is essential, and the post holder may take on a thematic lead as determined by the head of service and guided by key Public Health priorities.
The Locality Manager will act as a strong role model, leading the development and provision of clinical practice excellence, supporting staff development through innovation, and leading service improvements. They will provide highly specialized advice related to the care of children and their families.
Building and maintaining positive relationships across children and families' services, the Care Group structures, other NHS organizations, and external partners is also a key responsibility.
