We are seeking an experienced and driven Technical Services Manager to lead the technical service delivery across key accounts, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and exceptional client satisfaction.
This role will act as the central escalation point for technical issues, providing strong leadership, strategic insight, and consistent service outcomes.
Job Description
We are looking for someone who brings substantial engineering and FM expertise, with the ability to manage budgets, deliver cost efficiencies, and drive improvements across technical operations.
This role plays a critical part in developing talent, enhancing client relationships, and supporting wider business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical service delivery across accounts, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and strong client satisfaction.
* Act as the single point of escalation for technical issues, driving timely and effective resolutions.
* Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, and financial targets, protecting margins and delivering cost savings.
* Drive operational efficiency through implementing standard procedures, best practices, and innovative technical solutions.
* Ensure all contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved or exceeded.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding client needs and aligning service delivery accordingly.
* Lead technical talent development, including succession planning and training initiatives.
* Champion health, safety, and compliance initiatives to support zero-harm objectives and regulatory adherence.
* Provide actionable data and insights to support continuous improvement across the wider organisation.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Experience working in an FM or Building Services environment.
* Proven background in managing engineering teams.
* Strong knowledge of hard services and engineering operations.
* Experience working on a large site or complex estate.
* Desirable experience in integrated facilities management across Financial Services, Manufacturing, Industry, or Healthcare sectors.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* FM or Building Services qualifications such as IOSH, COSHH, or Electrical/Mechanical certifications.
