The Role
We are now recruiting for a Business Services Assistant to join our close-knit Hexham office and wider Business Services Service Line.
The main elements of this role will include:
1. Preparing VAT returns, book-keeping assignments and management accounts for clients
2. Assisting with the filing of financial statements and corporate tax returns
3. Raising appropriate queries for the Business Services Manager / Manager
Please note that we will be accepting candidates from agency suppliers in connection with this vacancy.
The Candidate
In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
4. A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable not essential requirement)
5. Either fully AAT qualified already, or be part way through studying towards their Level 4 AAT Qualification ("Qualified by Experience" candidates may also be considered for this position)
6. Experience of working in an Accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
7. A dedicated team player, and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
8. Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
9. Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
10. Keen to be part of a dynamic team
