Are you an experienced Senior or Team Leader in childrens residential care ready to step up?
Our Client are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in running a safe, structured and nurturing home for young people. This is a key leadership role with real influence over the quality of care, staff development and outcomes for children.
The Role: Youll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance at all times.
Youll:
Support and deputise for the Registered Manager
Lead shifts and provide day-to-day staff supervision
Drive high standards in safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted expectations
Oversee care planning, recording and documentation
Support staff development, supervisions and rota planning
Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals
Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns effectively
Maintain health & safety standards across the home
Take part in on-call duties and flexible working
Requirements: Experience in a senior role within childrens residential care
Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Sound safeguarding knowledge and a child-centred approach
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to work on-call and across shift patterns
Level 5 Leadership & Management (or working towards)
2+ years experience in residential childcare
