My client is seeking an experienced Process & Systems Implementation Lead to support the successful setup of our new factory facility. This is a hands-on delivery role where you will design and implement the operational frameworks, systems, and processes required to move from site setup to full-scale production readiness.
This is a long term FTC that will require the successful candidate to bring specialist expertise and independent perspective, delivering tangible outcomes across workflows, stock controls, quality systems, and IT infrastructure. Beyond technical delivery, the role requires a consultative approach, working closely with stakeholders at all levels to influence decisions, drive alignment, and ensure adoption of best practices.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced contractor to make a direct, high-impact contribution to the foundation of a new manufacturing operation.
Key Deliverables:
* Define and implement efficient, scalable workflows across operations.
* Set up and hand over stock control and inventory management systems.
* Develop and embed quality control processes and documentation.
* Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimise performance and reduce waste.
* Support the selection, configuration, and rollout of IT systems (ERP/MRP, MES, QMS, etc.).
* Align processes with business needs in collaboration with engineering, operations, and IT teams.
* Deliver clear SOPs, documentation, and knowledge transfer for sustainable adoption.
* Act as the bridge between project setup and operational readiness, ensuring the factory is equipped with a functional process framework.
* Engage and influence stakeholders, both internally and externally, to secure alignment and buy-in.
Experience Required:
* Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Systems, or equivalent.
* Strong track record in factory setup, process implementation, or major operational change projects.
* Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (certification desirable).
* Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and factory IT rollouts.
* Proven ability to establish workflows, stock control, and quality systems from scratch.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and consult at all levels.
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, start-up-style environment with tight timelines.
* Prior experience delivering ERP implementations or system migrations.
* Familiarity with change management practices to accelerate adoption.
* Strong data analysis skills to identify and deliver measurable improvements.
