We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Digital Technology & Change team at our Solihull office on a hybrid basis. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the nPower Business Solutions (nBS) strategy to improve the digital experience for customers and colleagues. Contribute to our transition towards a Product-led DevOps model, helping to enhance our operational capabilities as we grow. nBS is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) division, a leader in the energy retail sector with approximately £7 billion revenue, serving around 30,000 customers and 250,000 meter points, aiming to be the top B2B energy supplier in the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze customer behavior and portfolio data.
* Prepare data for modeling and analysis.
* Collaborate with business and data owners to identify data science opportunities.
* Present analytical findings clearly and effectively.
* Engage stakeholders in automating data delivery processes.
* Develop new data management capabilities to inspire the business.
* Improve internal data solutions and organizational productivity.
Requirements:
* Forward-thinking approach with scalability in mind.
* Strong skills in data handling and analysis.
* Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
* Minimum of five years' experience in data analysis or machine learning.
* Knowledge of statistical methods and tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
* Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
* Familiarity with statistical tools like SAS, Jupyter, etc.
